DRIVERS' EDUCATION This year it was made possible to obtain a car through Gauvey's Motor Sales at Grover Hill anc also the school cooperated in making it possible so that we might obtain Drivers' Education. There is not a perfect driver and therefore, through class training, Mr. Dean taught the basic essentials of operating a car and how to be a safer driver. Seven students in the first semester obtainet their drivers license. PHYSICAL ED. Commercial Department The students are pleased with the opportunity to take shorthand this year and are showing in- erest in the course through keen competition. Several students have expressed the desire to have second year of shorthand. Our typing department is fortunate in having the use of two electric typewriters, as this gives ich student practical experience with the use of the electric typewriter. FRESHMAN SCIENCE The Freshman Class are given a course in general science to try to create an interest in the ciences as well as pick the students who have the ability to be the scientists of tomorrow.
