Front row, L-R: yle Dougal, Dale Foltz, Coach, James Dean, Ed Taylor, Bob Thompson. For the 1957-58 season, the Hoaglin-Jackson Varsity team has won their first league crown since 939. The league standings were very close all through the season and reached an exciting climax 'ith a very hard earned victory in the last game of the regular seasan at Convoy. Danny Thatcher led the county in batting average which was .649. Out of this he hit 4 home- ms, 2 triples, and a double. He also was highest in runs-batted-in. Danny's hitting was a great lspiration to the rest of the team. We were very proud of the team's accomplishment and would like to thank Mr. Dean for his ex- glent job of coaching.
