HSTREAK OF LUCK It seems that our big man of the basketball team has his streaks of luck. At the Oakwood basketball game of the season 1956-57, Harold Hoersten, better known! as Big Jim , literally threw a ball the length of the floor and it went swishing through. Our rivals from Ottoville never quite believed the story of Big Jim , who is well acquainted with the people of that area, but with seconds to go in the third quarter of the Otto- ville game, the ball was passed to Big Jim and some one yelled, Shoot! , whereas he threw the ball without any resemblance of proper shooting form. The ball Went through the hoop without touching the rim or backboard. H-J's and Ottoville's fans were completely awed by what had taken place and the H-J's fans started making a jubilant noise as this put us within three points of them. We hope in future years we may have another Big Jim . Eat those Wheaties, underclass- men!!! Out of my way, I'm coming through. Whoa!
