Senior Band To start off the year the Band put on many fme performances at the school durmg the basketball season The band th1S year played a few numbers at the Farmers Instltute showmg off thelr new su1ts The band partlclpated 1n the Sprmg Fest1val March 20 and also the Comb1ned Band Festxval May 9 at Convoy Unlon Th1s year the band w11l go to Ada to the Oh1o Northern Un1 verslty March 30 to be rated We have a trumpet sololst gomg to L1ma March 22 also The Hoaglm Jackson Band had the great opportunlty th1s year to play for the VICE Pres1dent of the Umted States On October 15 1906 the band journeyed to Deflance Oh1o and there on the college campus played to welcome the VICE Pres1dent of the Unlted States The excltement of the band members was at hlgl pltch wh1le 3.W31tll'1g the arrlval of V1ce Pres1dent N1xon and h1s escort The flashy convert1ble was soon to come mthm Slght and the band was awarded thelr patlent anxlety w1th the Slght of the man who holds the number two posltlon ln the government of the Unlted States DI' LPHOS CLA!
