HOME ARTS DEPARTMENT The home arts department is made up of stud ents from the eighth grade as well as the four high school classes. In the homemaking classes an attempt is made to prepare thc girls for a satisfac- tory participation in home living. The problem of food is studied including nutrition, menu plann- ing, marketing preparation and serving of meals. In addition, housekeeping skills, and the problem nf child care, standards of good behavior patterns and personality patterns are discussed. SPANISH Buenos dias, todo el mundo! That's right - in Spanish we try for conversational experience. We listen and answer, as much as we can, in the language we are learning to read and write. SPEECH Things we study in Speech class are many and varied. There is everything from parlimentary procedure to the appreciation of good drama. Also, outside speech activities are encour- aged. One member of our class is a county winner in this year's Prince of Peace Oratorial Contest.
