JUNE SWARTZ June has been a very cooperative student and has been a willing helper whenever called upon to do any task She was excellent in the band and chorus for four years and was in the cast of the Junior and Senior plays Her talents have been devoted to the Y Teen four years Annual staff Senior year Student Council Sophomore year Vice President of Class Junior year Treasurer of Class Freshman year Her interests are in dancing sports bowling and popular music and much of her time is occupied in swimming and skating June like most of the Sen 1or girls has musical talent wnich will be missed next year She has furnished us with many hours of entertainment by her parti c1pat1on in a girls quartet KDANA If SANDERSON Dana was the only Senior to see much action on the varsity basketball team His pinch hit perform ances helped to win many a ball game He participated in basket ball and baseball during each of his high school years His bass voice added much to the high scnool chorus His favorite subject in high school was shop and some of his shop projects were of very high quality He served as President of the Shop Club during his Sophomore year Dana was a member of Student Council Sopho more had roles in both class plays and on the Annual Staff Senior Fishing hunting and bowling are his favor ite pastimes s if CAROL SANDERSON - A pretty smile and a' 'pleasant attitude were the trademarksof Carol. It is a treat to work with students like Carol that-show9a willingness to do the work and posess a pleasant attitude while going about their tasks. Like most of the Seniors, ,Carol was a good scholar and did not neglect her duties even though she engaged in many extra-curricular activities. Carol belonged to the High School Chorus and the Y-Teens during the four yeatrs of High SchooL School politics interested her as she was class President as a sophomore and class treasurer while a Junior. Class plays were enjoyed by Carol as she had important parts in both the Junior and Senior plays. Other activities were Annual Staff, Senior, Book Store Manager, Seniorg Student Council, Sophomoreg and Red Cross, Freshman. During free moments Carol likes bowling, skating, swimming, and sewing for entertainment. RON AQAM Ron will be remem red as the inevitable flat top Chair cut that ISI He blew a mean trumpet in the h1gh school band for four years The band. w1ll lose one half its total volume Law abiding Ron vsas a member of the Student Council during his Freshman and Senior years The Annual s aff and the baseball team were both honored with his presence during his la t yearlh school His talents were used in both the Junior and Senior class plays Working on cars and reading Hot Rod books are of special mterest to him and he hkes to hunt fish bowl and read for entci tainment lf DIANNE BAKER Whenever there 1S a laugh to be had Dianne IS usually around Some people are Just a lot of fun and Dianne IS one of these persons Along with a good sense of humor Dianne still settles down to hard work and is very dependable She was a member of the chorus and Y Teens all four years of high school and in the band during her Freshman year She was class treasurer member of Annual Staff student play director and school reporter during her senior year Dlanne found time also to be in the Junior and Senior Class plays Her hobbies are reading sports a record collection and popular music Swimming dancing and bowling take up much of her spare time Seruors KENT FOLTZ Just ask about cars Kent can tell you anything that you Want to know about them -Hls main lnterest seems to be customized cars Kent 1S sports minded and participated in baseball all four years of high school and played basketball during hlS freshman year His other interests are in music and he was a member of the band four years and ln the chorus during the last three years of school Kent IS in the Army Reserve and so his next few months will be occupied with the Army JANET DUNLAP Janet will always be remembered as an inspiring cheerleader and it will be difficult to find a competent replacement for Janets cheer leading position The people of Hoaglin-Jackson w1ll certa1nly miss Janet as a member of the girls quartet. She was a member of the band and chorus for four years. Some of her many other activities were: Y-Teens four years' Red Cross Junior and Senior years' Annual Staff Senior year and was in both the Junior and Senior Class plays. She is interested in music, skating, dancing, swimming, and basketball. MAURICE CARLO A school of Hoaglin Jacksons size was EUGENE HOERSTEN If a typewriter or some other office machine needed to be fixed one could always get a competent Job done by Eugene The school was fortunate in having someo ie of Eugene s mechanical ability enrolled Eugene possessed the phy slcal attributes which were advantageous to participation in spor s He was a member of both the basketball and baseball teams duriig his Senior year He was 1n the chorus during his Freshman and Sophomore years Vice president of Senior class and a member of the annual staff Since Eugene IS mechanically inclined he like t tinker with motors and customized cars CONNIE POLING Connie will be remembered for th many times that she participated in the musical entertainment of many programs Her interest in music was shown by the fact that she was a member of the band and chorus all four years of high chool The Y Teens was one of her favorite activities and he was Pre 1 dent of this club as a Junior her roles in the two class play were outstanding Other activities were Secretary of cla s Freshn 1 and Senior Student Council Junior and Annual Staff Senior Tic basketball scorer s table will never be the same as Connie impro l the scenery and was a top notch score keeper Dancin swimming bowling and listening to popular music occupied most of her free time Lnuf D MH! Semors fortunate to have a trumpet player of Maurice s calibre in the band for four years The clear crisp trumpet solos were very entertaining The leading trumpet in the band IS always difficult to replace and we regret to see Maurice leave the band The bass section of the chorus will also take a big loss as Maurice was perhaps the leadmg bass Maurice seemed to be a high school politician as he was VICE President of the Freshman and Sophomore classes President of the Junior Class and Editor of the Annual As to be expected his interest runs along the lines of music with hot music being his favorite When asked about his hobbies he said dating and bowlmg are his favorites Youll have to ask Maurice how dating could be a hobby LINDA DUNLAP Self expression verbally and written is important if one is to suceed in life Linda has proven that she has much natural ab111ty in self expression as she was awarded the top honor of the county in the Prince of Peace contest Speech and written expression comes easy to Linda and she enjoyed doing this type of school work. Linda has been a leader in many ways th- rough her high school career but she will be remembered most as the leading cheerleader. Because of her leadership we had one of the top groups of cheerleaders in the county. Music played an im- portant part in her high school years as she was in the high school band and chorus four years. Class plays Student Council plays were of special interest to Linda as she had important parts in each. Other activities of Linda s were class Secretary Junior Student Council Freshman' Treasurer Sophomore' and Annual Staff Sen- ior.
