Vi ' :© The Real Sunshine of Hiwassee A t Hiwassee the sun shines every day (even Wednesdays). People make it happen students, faculty, staff, visitors —you can always find a ray of sunshine somewhere, you only have to look. The following section is a special look at Hiwassee Sunshine 1979. Bcanl): A fleeting moment waiting to be captured by the e e and present ' d by the camera. Often it goes by unnoticed, but it ' s always there. The chapel at dawn, the trees covered with smm, a child playing in the grass ... all longing to be discovered. Kcaut : A subtle shape or an ordinary object becoming extraordinary when you look closer. Intricate pat¬ terns of a snowflake or formations in the clouds become spe¬ cial, rather than being only a part of the routine of life. Beauty: Something which has been overlooked, then becom¬ ing the object of your search. You Find the World Can Be Beautiful zTTO ' V ' ' :,©c- People ... going places... doing things ... studying ... working. .. playing ... or just sitting around talking... campus scenes are never void of people ... students cast their permanent shadows across campus during their careers at Hiwassee, leaving a lasting impression of themselves, as they, one by one, leave the college. Hiwassee... a Place to Live... to Love... to Grow... a Place to Shine! 4 7 I There are some things we will always remember... homecoming riots... the fountain... tearing up the grass in your car... Thursday nights ... the horses... assemblies that you forgot to go to... the cafeteria... Slave Day... ihe sculptures in the library... Good ole Hiwassee. ‘ ‘Now the ears of my ears awake... and now the eyes of my eyes are opened ’ ’ e.e. cummings ... a friendly smile and hello ... the international students add a definite aura to Hiwassee life. By sharing their many cultures and customs with the American students, these people enrich even more the education and experiences of college life. j ' rA Congratulations Graduates from: COLLINS CATERING SERVICE HIWASSEE FURNITURE MFRS., INC. 11 All Occasion Cakes Weddings Are Our Specialty Church furniture And Bank Furniture 518 Hwy. 41 1 S T Madisonville 442 9418 442-948 1 P.O.
