I :( Hiwassee Royalty Adds Campus Glamor Never before in all Hiwassee history has any event or pageant been as exciting or as glamorous as the 1974 Mr. and Miss Hiwas¬ see Pageant. Before an attentive audience each nominee performed his or her talents. When each had done his best, the final de¬ cision was made. With votes received during assembly and the ones acquired during the pageant, Mr. Larry Dial was acclaimed Mr. Hiwassee and for the first time ever, Hiwas¬ see elected Co-Misses Hiwassee, Doris Brewster and Mary Lane. Runners-up were Bobby Drinnen and Chris Dawson. Many thanks to Mrs. Huffman for her enthusiastic hel p during the preparation for this most exciting pageant ever. 26
