The return¬ ing men, Lon Marcum and Ralph Devor, both guards, were named co-captains of the team. Coach Farmer was not caught short on guards, as freshmen Eddie Smith, Danny Schultz, Hugh Watson, Von Sanders, and transfer Ronnie Morton were added to the team. The Tigers probably boast the tallest frontline that the school has ever had. Sam Rowland, Bill Woosley, Eddie Baker, and Tommy Anderson hold down the forward post, and all stand 6 2” or more. Not to be sold short is the fine group of pivotmen who will see battle for the Tigers this year. Freshmen Jim Stidham, Kenneth Loftice, and transfer Jack Henry will see lots of action.
