He hopes to complete his education at Berea College in Kentucky. Larry is one student who, you might say, has lived in a dormi- tory all his life — he comes from a family of twelve. During sum- mer vacations Larry is employed by the Interstate Railroad and in this way he pays fyis own way through school. An outstanding Sophomore, Larry is treasurer of the class and circulation manager for the i- wassean; bukftis pride and joy is his position as official.head of the sanitation department, which he swears is a “labor of love”. SUB-DISTRICT MYF MEETS The Hiwassee College MYF ill play host to the Hiwassee Sub-district for their annual Val- entine Banquet on February 6 in Rhymer Hall. Hiwassee will ar- range the program and the decora- tions. of a Commission of Highe Education. The Commission will remain at Hiwassee for three days loing an extensive study of the en- ire school system. MONROE COUNTY TALENT ROUNDUP The Phi Theta Kappa Frater- nity will present the Monroe County Talent Roundup sometime near the middle of February. This is a show comprised of talent from all over Monroe County and the Hiwassee Campus. If you are talented in the fields of pop music, rock and roll, spiritual or instrumental music, and wish to participate in the show, please contact Connie Mack Farmer, president of Phi Theta Kappa.
