In 1977 a building levy was approved. The plan was to save enough money over a five year period to build the gym. Due to inflation this plan was abandoned, and a bond issue was passed to complete the gym immediately. Construction started with leveling the site in March, 1979. The exterior was erected in May, and the interior was completed in October. Step-by-step the gym was built due to the interest of our community in providing the best education possible with the most modern facilities.
