I D. ' Xeaf, J rincipal A. D. Neal, principal of Hirschi High School, exemplifies in a fine way the true school spirit. Interested in every student, he is seen daily walk- ing the halls ready to give praise when it is deserved or to scold if necessary. Mr. Neal has had twenty-three years of service in public education, thirteen as a dean of boys, eight as a teacher, and two as a principal. By participating fully in church and community activi- ties, Mr. Neal represents Hirschi High School spirit on all occasions in the best manner.

From the English Department at Hirschi, a student receives a wealth of knowledge through a well-organized program of literature and grammar. With ' the knowledge gained in the communication skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, the student is better prepared to become a good neighbor. Such projects as the pilgrimage of characters from Chaucer ' s Civiterhury Tales head the list of achievements in the field of literature.
