The members of the staff are back in H. H. S. now evidently to get their diplomas which were not mailed to them but instead of this they state they have returned to put out a more expensive TJART than ever, one they'll really go in the hole on. To quote liditor Kinney, he stated: The DART '37 was nothing, a small debt of but a few thousand, we were sued by only a few companies, it was but our lst timeg we'll show you a real debt this time, we'll be the most sued staff in the country. millions in the hole, 200 years this time or bust. Incidentally, Kinney and stall' were publishers of the prison year book while enrolled at S. S. The opinion of the entire staff on this publication is this: lt was a honey, we called it Sing Sing Song Book of 1938 to SS, it was plenty dilferentg no seniors, numbers under pictures falso linger-printsl: no faculty fthey called 'em guards. it's a good name, tool, and no snapshotsg they took Mary Gun Moll Skaggs and Mgt. liutcht-ss Ratlillus cameras away from them when they found out they were sub machine guns instead, but not until they had shot a few guards. H. H. S. Again Has plkmgonor Roll At the end of the past six weeks, what grades there were show that Hinton High School has once more held up its standard with absolutely no students on the honor roll, which is Of of the entire unrulyment, no honor students, in fact no students. Our alma mater has set quite an example for other schools in the state to follow, boasting the enviable record of no students on the honor roll for the past 16 years. The entire student body, faculty, and administration. are all to be congratu- lated on their success in compiling such a record and placing our school in the position it is now in. In a recent interview the principal, speaking for himself and faculty, the persons chiel'ly responsible for this pei- centagc, stated: Yes, I'm proud of me. Hut I'n1 not satisfied yet. I will not feel I have completed my life's work until we have in H. H. S. positively no passing students, every student llunking, IOOCQ, failures. We are very close to that goal now, the only passing students in the last tive years being the children of our faculty. It is our plan to send each and every one of these teachers and their brats a bomb apiece. In this way only may we achieve our aim. NOTICE PLIZ: Anyone caught choking between classes will he expelled. - -Mann. 200 New Locks So What? None of the stall' reported a dull time during their stay. There were plenty of things happening all the time. Most of the experiences of our students are recorded in Editor Kinney's book he wrote while in solitary confinement. called Live Alone and Lump It or Stripes On My Trousers and Balls On My Toes. We quote a few lines of this history: Yeah, Yeah, plenty doin' all time-sports, tea dances, fights, target practice, pebble crushing-plenty . . . one member of our staff, Mr. Burdette, was member of football team-he was out I5 years before a varsity man 'grad- uated'-also some of 'Toughy' Kincaid's relatives came to visit her and stayed 15 years-in the next cell-Mr. Daven- port had a good dancing class-Maydell Adkins got to carry the notices around 'till they found they had saws an' files and little sticks of dynamite in 'em- yep. plenty to do-if nothin' else ya could keep score how many guards got bumped off a day-thuh only thing, we missed wuz thtih community house-. Mr. Kinney's book can be had for less than nothing at none of the book stores. About the prison annual, Miss Ifllison, the business manager. and richest person on the staff, stated, Boy, was it a staff's dream, it cost so much they had to make it a federal project, one of biggest PWA projects in the country, we spent enough money on it to build the Bluestone dam, oi, oi, oi, not so bad, hehfi' The staff has many plans for the bankruptcy of this next DART, they intend to spend more money on it than Sec'y Ickes spent on all the PWA privies in the country. In fact, if not satished with the debt they make, they'll give the DAR'rs away. Incidentally, dear reader, there has been some controversy and question as to where this rare staff did matriculate these 20 years.
