School Dedication Highlights October October 3 was one of the most important days in the history of Hinsdale South. On this day the school was dedicated. Dr. C. E. Spearman, superintendent of schools, in- troduced the platform guests. Giving the principal ad dress was Dr. Albert Crewe, director of Argonne Na- tional Laboratory. Mr. L. D. Murray, principal of Hinsdale South accepted the building for the school staff. After the retirement of colors by the American Legion, tours were guided by the staff aids of the school. Re- freshments were served in the cafeteria.

Members of the school board are included on one wall, pause to look at the wire caricatures which border the wall of the YEA, RAH, RAH, HORNETS-Saturday morning football games were one of the early activities of Hinsdale South students. Mr. and Mrs. Murray and Steve were among regular fans. SHH-H-H, QUIET -Students found the carpeted library a pleasant place from the first day of school, even though the shelves looked o little empty for a while.
