Refrain: We will ne'er forget our Alma Mater, Tho' our high school days are o'er.. We will ever love our H! T! H! As we did in days of yore. Red and White shall always be our colors That will make our pulses throb: I-l.T.H. to you, we will e'er be true, H.T.H., dear Hinsdale High. So let us bravely raise the song, And let all our voices ring, Our days in high school won't be long, So while we are here we'll sing. Sotola N., The juniors put their best foot forward this year by successfully presenting the play of that name. The star-studded cast included Iarvis Dugan and Virginia McKinstry, our glamour girls. Charles Dugan and Steve White played the male leads. The South Side put on a mixer called The Pay-off, as the result of their losing the ticket selling race for the play. Highlighting this very gay mixer were Bennett Creed, Dave Craigmile, and Charles Dugan, masters of ceremonies. Miss Grace McKichan and Coach Robert C. Wright were the sponsors that helpfully carried the juniors through one of their best years. Edward Orth, president: Alfred Holland, vice president: Polly Armstrong, secre- tary: Albert Sotola, treasurer: and Alice Powers and Charles Dugan, so- cial chairmen, were the competent administrators of the juniors. Brooks Parties, picnics, and plays have kept the class of '47 continually on the go. The Frosty Frolic, a very successful mixer held in Ianuary, left the sophomores panting for more. We dusted off the welcome mat and had more mixers to which we invited other classes. We entertained the assembly with a clever play. A great deal of credit goes to Mrs. Iosephine Broholm who directed it for us. Our very efficient class officers were Rod Rawlins, president: Bob Brooks, vice-president: Paul Bishop, treasurer: and Glen Karnatz, secre- tary. Our sponsors were Miss Catharine Whitehorn and Mr. Clifford Durman. Being the largest class in school, we naturally feel our responsibility for upholding school traditions and ideals. We are half way through our high school career, and we hope We have as much fun in store for us in the future as we have had in the past. 31 SOPI-IOMORES Row 1: D. Bach, W. Bennette, C. Sieben, A. Burridge, D. Corydon, C. Dean Under the capable direction of Mrs. Marie Phillips and Mr. H. F. McKee, this year's freshman class got off to a fast start on its high school career. After spending most of the first semester getting acquainted, the green mice put on several successful social functions. Among these was a mixer, held February 9, that featured games, contests, dancing, and the inevitable refreshments. The frosh made a Wise selection of officers who did a bang-up job of heading the class through its first year in H.T.H. They were Clark Dean, Apresident, Ann Burridge, vice-president: Tom Sieben, secretary, and Don Corydon, treasurer. 36 UCP' .rw iii I 'f 4,7 K, H A-..' c r .r W' ' J? 'HT-is I 2 .iw FRESHMEN D. In Iune, after these girls had fulfilled the national Red Cross require- ment of completion of the tenth grade, they began work. The group has given more than 6000 hours of service at the sanitarium.
