CREATIVE CLOTHING — Prereq. — Clothing 1 — Grades 11, 12 — 6 Periods — (3) This course is designed for students who have a good sewing background and are interested in improving more advanced techniques. Projects will include work on a novelty fabric (fur, leather, suede). Vogue pattern, and lingerie. Students will be encouraged to experiment with textiles and fabric dyeing to create projects for the home as well as wearing apparel. r

SYMPHONIC (MARCHING) BAND — Grades 10, 11, 12 — 6 Periods — Elective — (3) WHERE VALID CONFLICTS EXIST, HOURS CAN BE ARRANGED INDIVIDUALLY WITH MUSIC DEPARTMENT APPROVAL. This ensemble is the major performing group of the High School Instrumental Program in the symphonic and marching areas. Instruction will emphasize integration of refined music performance skills, conceptual understandings, and appreciation of music within the musical mediums and requirements of the organization. TYPEWRITING II — Grades 10, 11, 12 — 6 Periods — (5) This course is a second year of typewriting instruction meeting five times a week for a full year to develop to a vocational level the operational techniques, production, mechanics, and information about business procedures. Instruction covers the use of the electric typewriter. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, speed, and the production of acceptable copy on business letters, tables, and business forms. Confidence in their ability to meet office standards should help students find successful employment.
