WELCOME SUPERINTENDENT MR. LEWIS ERNST Mr. Ernst came to Hingham in 1963 as a history teacher. He later became the Assistant Principal of the high school until 1970 when he left Hingham to become a Principal of Fra- mingham North High School. He returned to Hingham in 1974 as Assistant Superintendent. He served in this posi- tion until January 1982 when he became Superintendent. THANK YOU DR. WILLIAM MAHONEY Dr. Mahoney came to Hingham in 1965 from Connecticut. During his Superintendency he brought many new pro- grams to Hingham. His recognition throughout the country reveales his contributions to both the Hingham Public Schools and education in general. 20
