Manufacturers of RUBBER STAMPS and MARKING DEVICES Hingham, Massachusetts 02043 it PAUL REVERE SONS OF LIBERTY BO WL The original Bowl was made by Paul Revere, a great patriot and skilled silversmith, in the year 1768. Later, an exact replica was ordered by the Fifteen Sons of Liberty whose names were engraved around the original Bowl and it memorialized the vehement protest of the Massachusetts General Court to the Government in London against their oppressive and arbitrary acts. The British ordered our court to rescind their protest but they refused to do so by a vote of 92 to 17. The Bowl was used at every meeting of the Sons of Liberty for many years. The purchase of the original bowl from a private source was made possible by contributions from school children, private parties and by the Museum of Fine Arts of Boston, Mass. where it is now on public exhibition in the main rotunda. The famous Bowl has the following inscription on its side. To the memory of the glorious ninety- two mem- bers of the House of Representatives of Massachusetts Bay, who, undaunted by the insolent menaces of the Villians in Power, from a strict regard to Conscience and the Liberties of their constituents, on the 30th of June, 1768, voted NOT TO RESCIND. e oCC Rexall Drugs Tel . 749-4099 Willis W.
