MR. IRMIN PIERCE Vice-Principal TO THE CLASS OF 1966 . . . Your class, as it puts together this record of its experiences in Hingham High School, is picturing Our Way of Life. You have gone through school as a group, working together demo- cratically to choose your officers, decide your policies, and accomp- lish your aims. You have also gone through school as individuals, each develop- ing his own aims and ambitions, seeking and finding help in the re- sources which the school offers to all and growing mentally by con- trast with other minds. I hope that you are now ready for the broader experiences in the years ahead. My best wish for you is that you will be good citizens, that you will cherish high ideals and that you will succeed in living up to them. MR. PAUL FARRI9 Principal TO THE GRADUATING CLASS OF 1966 . . . The Class of 1966 has made a fine begin- ning on the road to self-education and responsi- ble citizenship! As you make your way in this world of ours, perhaps you can find the key to the heart of mankind so that peace may be- come an integral part of our way of life. The inquiring mind, the integrity of character, the impartiality of honest experimentation, the re- spect due every man because he is a man: all of these can be helpful to you as you join in the quest to solve the one great problem confronting mankind — peace. fLjl +(. -T z- zA o
