PRIZE WINNERS AT THE HOBO HOP The Student Council started off a busy autumn season by sponsoring a number of successful activities. Some of these activities included a Bermuda Day to raise money for new band uniforms, a concession stand at the first P.T.S.A. meeting to raise money for the scholarship fund, the establishment of a Marshal Board, new and better assemblies, and a Tag Day at the Hingham Wellesley football game, the proceeds of which were donated to WGBH TV. On October 7, 1961, the Student Council sponsored a dance, the Hobo Hop, which was one of the most profitable dances ever held at H.H.S. The Prize winners included Peter Hardwick, Stanley Bates, Marcia Dunning, Patricia Saunders, Joseph Gilmore, Leroy Deabler, Kenneth VanMeter and Gale Palmer. STUDENT COUNCIL SEATED: S.
