In our democratic society, we may avail ourselves of many years of education beyond the twelve years of public education. It need not be a formal type of education. Every experience we meet in daily life presents an opportunity to learn. As you think of the future, think of the words of Charles F. Kettering: ■ ' The past is gone and static. Nothing we can do can change it. The future is before us and dynamic. Everything we do will affect it.
