F un Frolic A second Fun Frolic was held, Halloween, at the town hall. A tunnel was downstairs for the small children to go through, and a scavenger hunt was organized for the older children to take part in. About 8 o'clock the skits began. Their names and the classes doing them were as follows: .Seventh Grade ........ .. The Ghost Walked Eiighth Grade ..... .. Hillside Graveyard Freshmen ....... ...... ' Mock Funera'l Sophomores .... ... Kullud Kapers .Tuniors......................................... Mock Exams The judges awarded the Sophomores first place and the Juniors second place. There was dancing afterward. Christmas Program The Christmas program, sponsored by the Student Council, opened with a skit by the seventh and eighth grades, taken from Dicken's Christmas Carol. Then some of the students read poems and Letters to Santa which Mr. White had collected. Virginia Chambers tap danced, Jene Veronesi played her accordian, and the Girls' Glee Club sang between parts of the program. There was a contest to make as many words as possible from the word Christrnas' Near the end, the gifts were distributed and refreshments were served by Student Council members. Athletic Association The officers this year are President, Howard Riggs: Vice- President, Conrad Ballard: Secretary, Richard Aubeg Treasurer, Ernest Millham. Mr. Meegan is advisor. Projects have included a paper drive, a turkey raffle, and a season ticket drive. New base- ball uniforms are being bought. Student Council The Student Council is made up of the presidents and two elected students from each calss. Mr. White advises them. They sponsor the annual Christmas Party and are responsible for discussion and decision on many matters that could not be brought before the entire student 0 body.
