THLETICS FooTBALi.cBAsKETBALLJASEBALL As early as july, kids described the football team we were going to have. They were right, and it made a BIG difference at each game. Spirit built week by week, until it exploded at the Port Gibson game. Then we knew we had a chance to win the gold ball. Nobody could convince any player, coach, or fan that we weren't terrific. And the next week after we romped Port Gibson, silence filled the air. Whispers echoed everywhere. We pondered our fate. We had been suspended by the Athletic Association as to be placed on probation january 1. It was a shock to all of us. But, nevertheless, we had a good year. It was all a part of the Hindsonian experience. I 4 l
