Class History Isn't It fun to reminlse? Let's do Just that Seniors.' Our school careers started way back twelve years ago in the first grade. Here we go.' First Grade-Wasn't it exciting.' and such fun too. We had a very under- standing teacher in Miss Manchester. She understood how tired we were by mid-afternoon and let us nap. We all brought newspapers and laid on the floor where Arnie G. always went sound asleep. Remember, Sharon, how you finally succeeded in getting up on the first chinning bar and then were too petrified to come down? Second Grade-Miss Schillewart was a good teacher; nevertheless trouble brewed when Sharon B. slapped Susan N. and staying in during recess wasn’t much fun. Remember our store? We brought butter boxes and cocoa boxes for weeks. David A. Joined us this year. Third Orade-came with Miss Johnson leading us on to a higher education. Remember, girls, when Gilbert C. arrived how excited we were at someone who sat on tne desks and talked out loud during school? Then came John L. and wasn't he sweet in his little bib overalls.'.' We also put on Snow White for the fourth grade. Lorraine F. was a lovely princess. Karen A. and Anna Mae also Joined us this year. Fourth Grade-rolled around with Miss Mallory and some needed discipline. This year we launched into a world of geography and history. Every Friday we pasted pictures in our steel and wood Industry books. Remember our dally ear and hand inspection with always the same question, Phyllis, have you been digging in your ears, they're all red. Lorraine K. Joined us. Fifth Grade-and Miss Brand. Remember Jackie Williams and his infernal hiccups? Miss Brand’s curses usually didn't help either. And, John, how did you pull through the year with all the bubble gum you swallowed? Sixth Grade-This year we were big shots of the grade school. Remember how uorraine F. screamed for so long when Chuck put paper down her back. At least we had an extra recess. Also, Jean, how did you manage to be the only quiet one In the grade? „ Seventh Grade-arrived with Mr. Peterson with his posta produce and Good, Better, Best. Do you suppose he was bluffing about that trip to Red Wing in his little red Ford for certain naughty kids? This year we added a little glamour when Susan and Mary Ann C. Joined us. Eighth Grade-brought Mr. Naddy as our Math. teacher-Lorraine, why were you always in the corner? ’Who could forget Mr. Ahern's class with the Gettysburg Address and that 2,000 word theme. There was also something about Gil being sent out on account of a comb. Ninth Grade-Initlation--waitlng for it was so hard, we girls lived in Jeans. Our class increased this year with many new additions from the country. We had Mr. Tledeman for home room and some of us really Improved our Denman- ship, especially Dick B. Tenth Grade-This year the tables turned and we did the initiating. That limburger cheese stunt was a dilly There wasn't a dull moment this year with Ray K. and George H. in our ranks. This year the girls won the basketball championship and were we proud. Eleventh Grade-Jim Schabert Joined us this year. It was a busy year right from the start. We put on the play, Beauty and the Beef and with the proceeds we put on the Junior-Senior Banquet in the spring, with a unique and colorful Japanese theme. Annette obtained the title ’’Storyteller this year by Mr. Hosking, which is very fitting. Twelfth Grade-Now we are seniors.
