Nineteen sixty three was a year marked with tragedy, in Hilton, our own flag was lowered twice in mourning. The sorrow of a nation found its way into every home in Hilton on that infam- ous November dayg only a month earlier, a more personal loss sorrowed a whole village, for there was a man . . . whose name was John. John Fitzgerald Kennedy John William Collamer '6We dedicate to you, . . . Within our school system, the class is a main unit. Every student identifies himself with his class, and like an indi- vidual, a class begins to take on the personality of its members, until each one is distinct and characterized. Like a person, this unit forms cus- toms and qualities, and even finds its own friends. In our freshman year, Mrs. Fowler, when we began to see the insignificance of the being of a Hfroshf, you were there, as an advisor, and for most, a patient teacher. During our sophomore year, you were a friend to our class, a term not always too widely applied, and you offer- ed again to help advise, us. We remember all this. Because you have helped all of us, and because you have given so much to the individuals of our class, We dedicate the 1964 Hiltorial to you, Mrs. Fowler, with the many thanks we will never really be able to express.
