Only a little more than a quarter of a century ago America sent its armies to Europe to help make the world safe for Democracy. We hoped and prayed then as we do now that we would not have to iight again. Young men and women were admonished then that the future peace depended on how well it was planned. Yet today young men and women are giving up their lives again for the same cause. Two things are at stake: The preservation of democracy and the chance to insure its growth by proper planning in the post-war period. If you can see that the war is a conflict be- tween two opposite ways of life, and if you are thoroughly convinced that you prefer the Ameri- can Way of Life, democracy will emerge victori- ous, not just from this war but from any future emergencies that may tend to arise. across the page is Mr. Alfred Scrrao, who has the new position of b0y's arluiscr and is in charge of attendance.
