The eyes of the world are upon us, and so are the evaluators. The time to be our best has come. Thank heaven it happens only once in ten years. Students do not like to be a put-on as neither do the teachers, yet, bulletin boards go up, nice clothes come on and smiles splash across faces in an effort to impress. And even though the evaluators could see through all the paint, Hillwood, as it really is, came out on top. 23

Sock Hop is Roaring Success Numerous dances filled the days at Hillwood this year given by the Student Council and the PTSA. Whether dancing to the music of groups or records, the events were well attended. Perhaps the most enjoyable was the sock hop , where the 50's were brought back to life, if only for a few hours. This is even better than playing basketball. They could've danced all night. Kitti, Kitti shake your little tail. Temporary irregularity is normal for Frank Shope 22
