JUNIORS Juniors already, and the superiority as upper classmen was slowly creeping into our surrounding atmosphere. Again we voted for oflicers, the following being elected: President ....... . . Ray Harley Vice-President , . . , . . Doris Moyer Secretary ...4. . . . Edward Tice Treasurer . , . ,... Charles Yoder Bravo! Our destination reached at least, and our little book holds priceless memories that none of us will ever forget. The class dinner, skating parties, the senior play and our most wonderful trip to Washington are a few of the more important incidents that happened this year. Also Elmer Ott and William Novicki returned as students after spending some time in the service. Our senior class oflicers were: I President ......, ..,... R ay Harley Vice-President . . . . . , William Novicki Secretary ..... .... D oris Moyer Treasurer . . . , . , Betty Hinkle Mrs. Cassel: Paul, translate Rex Fugit. Paul: The King flees. Mrs. Cassel: You should use has in translating the perfect tense. Paul: The King has flees. Miss Riebel: What is a metaphor? Abie: A place for cows to graze in. I have a dog named Ginger, but Ginger doesn't bite, Ginger snaps. Clerk: Here's a pretty card with a lovely sentiment: 'To the only girl I've ever loved'. Kenny Beer: That s fine, give me a dozen. ! Shirley: I know a fellow who swallows swords. Grace: Huh, I know a fellow who inhales Camels. Mr. Yoder: What would happen if 500 Chinese moved into this section. Frank: It would increase the population.

Senior Class History As we open our memory book to page one, wc look back into the year 1 1943, and find ourselves awkward little freshmen. After Halloween we felt mo at ease, and considered ourselves as full fledged members of H. H. S. O1 initiations which had long been dreaded, were enjoyed by all.
