She has been very active during the 2 years here, both in behalf of the Class and of the school. Scholastically, Betty shines in History and athletically her ability is displayed on the Basket Ball floor as our peppy center. As for her hobbies, Betty likes - riding. Riding? Yes-in light green Fords! We can always remember Betty with a win- some smile, ready to lend a hand when one is needed. If you want something done, give it to a busy person and it will be done. Betty is a friend. to all and when she and a few of her friends get together, can they MILTON D. CARVER lluloel, Fricks, Pa., December 27, 1913 Wlxat do I hear? Why - Milton's giggle! Milton doesn't believe in spending all of his time studying. He spends a lot of his spare time at the home of a certain Junior. Milton is very good in dramatics and was chosen to take one of the leading parts in He's My Pal, our Senior play. He has also proven himself a leader, having been chosen President of the Student Council and the first President of the Literary Soci- ety. Milton intends to continue his education at Penn State, but we're sure heill succeed if it's anything besides spelling. I believe he'd make good at shorthand. He hates to write and art. He plays the drum in the orchestru uso low', that you canlt hear them, either! make Nwhoopeeu? But Betty is a deep thinker md recreation for 1 busy intellect IS neces sary, you know. VICTOR JEHOSEPHAT GRATIAS lfvicll Perkasie, R. D. 2, February 1, 1915 Whether a fheckerboard or Magazine, Victor is a ways on the scene. Activities: Educatin' Mary, lg Peirce Spelling Contest, 2, 43 'aHe's My Pal, 4g Vice President of Class, 3, 43 Business Man- ager of Echo, 43 Chaplain, 43 B. C. l. M., 3, 4. 'iVic',, as he is best known, is a friend and pal to everyone. If one hears a wise saying uttered after the teacher has made a statement, one can rest assured 1t's Victor at the other end. Victor doesn't take much interest in Ath- letics, but can he spell? This accounts for his several trips to Peirce Business College for the Annual Spellinff Contest. Women don't set-iam to interest Victor very much, hut one can never tell-the tide may change, some day. Victor is the big boy of our class, having the distinction of being 6 feet 1 inch tall. He rather bemoans this fact, because the job oi pulling down window shades or getting something from a rather high shelf, always falls to him. When it comes to deep thinking, UVic is right there. We are certain that some day he'll be a great lawyer or something like that. However, this doesn't seem to be his aim. He is thinking of taking up chemical engineering. May success be yours, Victor, in whatever Held you plan to excel. MABEL A. WENGER Perkasie, R. D. No. 2, April 10, 1914 If you want to meet someone cheerful and sweet, Go see Mabel, .vhe's a treat! Activities: 'lliducatin' Mary, lg News- paper Reporter, 1, 25 Class Reporter for 'iEcho, 1, 2, 3g Literary Editor for i'Echo, 4g Clee Club, 1, 2, 3, 4g Librarian, 1, 21 Assistant Class Secretary, l, 2, 3g Secretary of Literary Society, 3g Operetta, 33 'LHe's My Pal, 4g Basket Ball, 4: Censor for Literary Society, 4g B. C. I. M., 3, 4. Mabel has come from all parts of the U. S. - Cosmopolitan is the word, I think. Yes, that's right, I found it in my dictionary. She took her first breath in Indiana and has lived in Louisiana and different parts of Pennsyl- vania. Ambition, intelligence and vocal talent: all these are possessed by Mabel, who has used them to a good advantage. When Mabel's eyes sparkle with a mis- chievous gleam you know she is going to tease someone, but then, she has to take her share of teasing, too. One of the nicest things about Mabel is her cheerful, friendly smile, and a very active worker is she, too. Her classmates have realized her dependability by appointing her Liter- ary Editor, which is by no means an easy job. But hard jobs are Mahel's specialty, she can handle them so easily. Mabel is interested in Home Economics, and if opportunity permits, she'd like to take at course in it. Well, Mabel, here's wishing you the best of luck! ll

He's interested in teaching, Farm Craft in one of our big High Schools - perhaps in CHARLES DETWEILER Charlie Blooming Glen, Pa., April 24, 1915 Some people have characteristics by the horrlc Charlieis are-a peculiar walk and Model T Ford. Activities: Orchestra, 4g Censor of Lit. Soc., 3g He's My Pal, 43 Truant Officer, 4g Boys' Sports Editor, 4-. Charlie is one of Souderton's live wires who joined us in our Sophomore year. He's a short, big-hearted lad with dark hair, brown eyes and a sense of humor that appeals to everyone and especially to the girls. We won- der how Bedminster likes him. Well, as I was saying--he's well liked. If any hauling is to be done it's t'Charlie on the spot with his truck. His willingness and helping hand are hound to pull him thru, but he's a mischief. Some- body through his pranks does irefully wiggle and giggle. We think perhaps he'll be a poet some day judging from some of his poetry that he writes now. Charlie is an addition to the orchestra this year. He plays a Hawaiian guitar. A hit more practice and he'll be right there. Hilltown Consolidated-someday. We're sure he'll succeed! ESTHER D. MOYER Perkasie, R. D. No. 3, December 24, 1914 Esther Moyer zall, not slim Has a personality tluzfs bound to win? Activities: Glee Club, 1, 2, 3g Class Re- porter, 43 Newspaper Reporter, 43 B. C. I. Esther is always ready to help and do things for our class and always with a smile. Esther is loved hy all of her classmates and every one else, but who wouldn't be-such an adorable, blue-eyed blonde! Esther has shown talent for acting by giv- ing us her best in i'He's My Pal. Mah hands and mah feet, dat was good! Esther has the sweetest face that we are sure will help her in getting her-Line Lex- ington!
