GRACE CASTLE Fair Hill, March 24. 1916 Those laughing eyes, and that winsome smile Surely makes this life worth while. ' Activities: Basket Ball, 2, 3, 45 Peirce Spelling Contest, 3, 45 Librarian, 33 He's My Pal, 43 B. C. I. A., 3, 4. , Grace is one of those graduates hailing from thefbig town of Fair Hill! But you don't know anything about her yet. Not un- til you see her play Basket Ball, or hear her spell and see what ability she has along liter- ary and poetical lines, will you agree with us that-she is some girl! She is extremely interested ,in books -- reading novel fiction or anything containing excitement. She seems to like reading better than any particular study. Grace is an efficient speller, which ac- counts for her being sent down to Peirce Spelling Meet several years. And as for the works that she composes, one might mistake them for works of a much older person. Her poetry is unsurpassed in our class. She takes an especial interest in the Fresh- men romn for some reason or other, for it's there that her dreams seem to come true. Oh, yes, we know you have your eyes on ANNA LONG' HAnnn Blooming Glen, November 26, 1914 Anna Long, a quiet 'gal' Sits and dreams, but she's a pal. When pepped up, she's in the 'swimi With fun. and sense she's going to win. Whenever you see a rather tall girl walking in the direction of H. H. S. about 8 o'clock every morning, it's Ann going to absorb more school work. She not only absorbs but she contributes in the form of reports and outside readings. Give Anna notebooks, some pencils and time to think every once in a while and sheis content. One never sees Anna engaged in Athletics, but you can surely find her elsewhere in the roam meditating, either on school work or - im. She seems to be fond of Problems of Dem- ocracy as are we all! ! Anna never told us what her intentions are after graduating, but whatever it is, we hope and feel sure she'll make good. One never sees Anna sitting around engaged in gossip nor finds her speaking sarcastically of the less fortunate humanity and this is one of the greatest attributes to success. She feels that if one can't say something nice about a person, he hadn't better say anything. that certain person! Grace thinks she'd like nursing and with a strong physical make-up as Grace's we are sure she would do very well. Best wishes for success, Grace, from Class of '32. . 9

MARCELLA J. MOYER ' Blooming Glen, February 14, 1916 Can you imagine what would happen If Marcella didrft know her Latin? -I carft! Activities: Pianist for Assembly, 1, 2, 3, 4: Peirce Business Spelling Contest, 2, 3, 43 Pi- anist for Literary Society, 3g B. C. I. M., 3, 45 Newspaper Reporter, 43 Assistant Class Secretary, 43 Pianist of Glee Club, 4: Assist- tant Editor of Echo, 43 He's My Palf' prompterg Orchestra, 4. ' Marcella graduated from the Township schools with highest honors. Throughout her High School career she has shown special ability in mathematics as well as every other branch of study. Small in stature but great in mind, is the g'girlie who represented Hilltown High in the Peirce Spelling Contest for the past four years. How do you like that for a record? This year she had the honor of spelling over the radio. Marcella isu't athletically inclined, but scholastically, she's hard to beat. Marcella has performed most successfully f- the work of Treasurer for our Cafeteria all this winter. That isn't a job that doesn't re- quire patience, either, but she endured. She does things so good-naturedly, too. Marcella is quite happy if she can have a good book to read and meditate on during her spare time. Our litle one doesn't believe in speaking unecessarily. That's good, Marcella. If only others agreed. Marcella expects to attend the West Chester State T eachers' College to prepare for the teaching profession. May good fortune attend you! 1- FRANCIS MOYER Sellersville, May 4, 1915 A . Francis Moyer from Silverdale, Comes to .school thru rain or hailfi' Activities: Chaplain of Literary Society, 45 Peirce Spelling Contest, 4g B. C. I. M., 3, 4g Basket Ball, 3, 4, Baseball, 4, He's My Pal, 4. Francis is another of our athletes and musf icians. One of his extra -curricular acitvities is engaging in an interesting game on the Basket Ball floor. - Francis plays both the harmonica and Ha- waiianvGuitar and has shown his ability sev- eral times before the Assembly with the com- bination. Francis can sing, too. It's just been dis- covered recently that Francis is in possession of a very good tenor voice and endeavoring to make the best of this talent, he's trying hard to cultivate it. Francis is a very kind-hearted and good-nab ured boy, willing to do anything for anybody at anytime. We certainly are grateful to him for seeing us to and from so many Basket ' Ball games. He was one of our persuasive land agents H in 'He's My Pal, and was certainly a wise schemer to put old Cal on his feet and at the same time salvage Mrs. McCay's cash. We don't know what Francis expects to do after he's departed from this worthy Institution of Learning, but we wish you a great deal of success. 8

C. I. M., 3, 4. . Eleanor is one of those rare girls with a dual personality. She is very serious and studious riu all school work, but when you get her mind off of lessons she is a most in- teresting and fun loving girl. Eleanor is an athlete thru and thru. She is our crack forward of the Basket Ball Team and has been our Captain for two successive seasons. Ask Eleanor if she likes to write poetly or essays! She likes History and Trig. a lot better, she says. She's another of our deep thinkers, but don't think too hard, Elly, l have heard it said that it's not good for one, or -- it might not be.
