Mr. Frank Howard Alston, better known as Prof to many, is a familiar and well- liked person at Hillside High School. Formerly a Chemistry instructor at Hillside, he is now assistant principal and the Dean of Boys. When our former principal, Mr. Harold Marion Holmes, had to leave because of illness during the latter part of the 1961-62 school term, Mr. Alston immediately stepped into the vacancy of principal and the remainder of the school year progressed as usual. Mr. Alston is often heard coming down the hall using one of his ever famous phrases, Okay sister, Check you out later, or Ah, Bro! Because of his personal connections with our academic community in general, we dedicate this, our 1963 edition of the Hornet, to Mr. Frank Howard Alston. 3
