The four years we spend in high school are indeed a QUEST. Not only do we seek knowledge, but we search for a true understanding of ourselves and others. With this foundation, we can attain the ideals that we will need to become a part of the adult world. S.W. ’68 Mrs. Cecilia Claxton Mr. John Duthie Mr. Carmen Ferrigno Miss Phebe Haviland Mr. George Sickels Mrs. Adelaide Harmon Mr. Edward Gottlieb Mr. Wilford Johnson Mr. Joseph Silver Mr. Leonard Strassman Mr. Rudolph Weiss dedication We, the class of ’68 dedicate our EPOCH to the members of the faculty who have been with us for twenty or more years. Encouraging us in our QUEST for knowledge, these teachers have devoted their talents, their knowledge, and their understanding to us over the span of two decades. They have aided us in our transformation from adolescence to adulthood by preparing us to face the outside world. It is these individuals that we salute and to whom with gratitude we dedicate our yearbook. 0 5 FACULTY Ahead lies our QUEST— Who is there To guide us To lead us To show us the way Toward the fulfillment of our goals? Our teachers— Giving their time And knowledge. What is it we were seeking? For what were we searching? When we entered high school we knew not. But we all worked toward that unknown goal That unreachable QUEST. Always so near, yet always so far away. High school has prepared us for life itself, Changing us from adolescents to young adults. Isn’t that our immediate goal—our QUEST? To become the adults of the future, To find ourselves. To decide what we want from life And what life will offer us The continual striving for what we want For what we know is right. The constant struggle between maturity and immaturity To be recognized as the adults we will be We are no longer the children we were. Day by day Enjoying the triumphs Drying the tears Always remembering each passing event Saturday football games The Junior Ring Dance Selling candy The Thanksgiving Day Game The Senior Prom That first college acceptance That first job Through the span of four years. And now as we leave, we find that our goal has been reached Our QUEST fulfilled. We entered as Freshmen Curious, scared, searching, seeking. We leave as SENIORS Unafraid and knowing.
