We Dedicate the EPOCH MRS. JUNE OTTO, nurse and friend, came to Hillside High School in 1932. She served as a flight nurse in the Air Force during World War II, and received the Air Medal and five Bronze Stars. She was discharged with the rank of Captain. With foresight, determination, and ability, Mrs. Otto created a nursing department throughout the entire Hillside School System. Audiometer and Tele-binocular examinations, Tubercular tests, Salk Vaccine injections and countless other modern medical innovations were installed within her full and varied medical program. She served as chairman of our H.S. Safety Committee and has instructed in special First Aid classes. The first Future Nurses Club in New Jersey was organized under her direction. Pagp 4
