Flagswingers and honor guards, chosen for their outstanding service with the band, are an added attraction at the half times. The band participates in various school and community programs, and entertains at the Spring Concert, assemblies, and parades.

The Hiller Hiller aflords its rneinhers rnonthlv opportuni- ties to express ingenuity and creativity in writing skills. This popular newspaper hrings honor to the school hy its nieinlvership in the Quill and Scroll International Society of Scholastic Press Association. A highlight of activity this year occurred when Hiller editors and staff attended the Coltnnhia Press Conference. For a period of three days, they niet with people from all over the nation to dis- cuss the iniproveinent of school newspapers. The Conference concluded with a dinner at the lllaldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City.
