Last night she Singed her fur; Gertloff when you Taylor this. Heres a strange adventure I had; I decided to go Henze if I could Cpllett a Fee from the Rich us up the street who has been Koenig money right and left lately. I put on my best Schuhs and my new Bahret and new Saxe. As I went to the door Femgno the Bell, I heard a Tappe on the window Class and a voice cried, “Oh, this is Gillen me!” I decided to Goheen at once when suddenly a Brauny black man ran past me carrying a piece of Sharp Steele. “Great Scott’’, I thought, my heart All en my mouth Was I scared? Don’t be Zilahy! I reached in my pocket Andrew out my pistol. Then a voice called, “Hudak, at the door? Come in and close it or the Lytle go out. It's a gas Lamp.” e added. Inside I looked about for a moment. On the mantle was a large Gold Stein under a portrait of the King. The room was furnished in Gold en silver and if you want to Hyra Hall, go there. Opposite me was the Goodrich man, not the least bit Roth; but no sign of the murder scene that I expected. I asked what happened, but to my surprise he answered that he had sent his colored servant to the Smith's to have the butcher knife sharpened. (It's lucky I didn’t Punchatz negro in the Schnabel, as I had thought of doing.) He explained that no one had been murdered. He had been reading a funny story and, laughing, had cried out that it was killing him. What a relief! Well, I must stop now. I’ll write Moore later. I close Witaschec - I'll be Senior, JAY N. KAY P. PHANTOM FANTASIES ET us peep into the future and see what our seniors will be doing twenty years hence. Many changes have taken place everywhere. Hillside has become a thriving metropolis with a busi' ness center, boasting several skyscrapers, such as the World News Building, the Radio and Theatre Center, and the Hillside General Hospital. On its outskirts are the campus of the University of Hillside, the Municipal Airport, and the Industrial Center. Shall we enter the World News Building, built by the eminent engineers. Sharp and Grewe? In the building directory we find listed: H. Braun, lawyer; D. Mason, couturier; L. Taylor, real estate. On the first floor are located a fashionable Dress Shoppe owned by Anita Davidson and Gertrude Singe, and a Salon dc Coiffure established by E. Zinszer. In the offices of the World News we find J. Williams and K. Lytle, editors; R. Ferrigno, M. Pauls, and G. Clarin, star reporters; E. Keller, city editor; P. McClure, social editor; R. Hedden, women’s page; V. Wolff, and L. Goheen, humor and sports. Here s a latest copy of the World News—and here’s a picture of L. Mess, fashion authority, arriving on the new ship whose captain is W. Scott! This other picture is of “Chip” Choborda and H. Hendrickson, coaches at Hillside University. Dean Bowne has just issued a warning to students against flying their planes too low and too fast over the campus. The new Dean of Women has just been appointed and it is—Verna Brock. Some of the familiar faculty members are; A. Conran, S. Golden, N. Jacobson, E. Petrasek, and R. Corcoran, music supervisor. At the art exhibit we may see paintings by M. Cottier, G. Hedden, and L. Fuelling. The report of the last City Council meeting reveals the new political set-up: H. Schnabel, mayor; M. Tillou, E. Stephens, E. Muller, M. Madden, F. McCarthy, and O. Hyra. The school-board elections resulted in J. Peckmore, N. Murray, B. King, M. Hadley, and R. Steele. A report from Washington tells of the successes of L. Intrabartolo, U. S. Senator. We knew she’d make good! And look at our State Congress—P. Koenig, R. Bradford, H. Huppert. R. Goodrich. L. Berkowitz, and A. Leiscntritt. Here’s a picture of the new bank and its president, D. Hockenbury, with his assistants, C. Shatinsky, E. Romaine, and E. Dierolf. Now let’s turn to the amusement page and see what is playing at the Theater tonight. Well, well, Alyce Witaschek and Walter Zilahy, co-starred in a technicolor romance with M. Robins and H. Connelly, the Mutt and Jeff of the screen. On the stage the feature will be E. Otto, tap dancer, with her accompanist, R. Reis. H. Orban, manager of the theater announced today that he hoped to present a televisiograph this evening of Arlene Althenn, candidate for governor, speaking at Trenton. This televisiograph is made possible through the combined efforts of J. Henze and L. Peterson. Next week the feature picture will star Betty Bahrct and Phil Thomas. On the radio page we find that Shipper’s Orchestra, starring Eddie Palkovic, will have as their guest soloist Doris Brandner, famous blues-singer. Isadore Goldstein, known to the kiddies as Uncle Izzy, will entertain them with his usual half-houfl of rhymes and stories. Here’s a new plane being shown at the airport, designed and built by W. Bates, to be used, Fred Moore, owner of the Field announced, in a daring flight by E. Alexander and P. Hopf noted aviatrixes. Incidentally B. Hall and A. Kochinke are employed at the airport as air hostesses. E. Lampe, sportswoman who was injured yesterday in a crash here, was reported by E. Osche. head nurse at the hospital, to be much better. Among the prominent business men whose names appear on the financial pages are—R. Hauser, W. Abramitis, R. Peterson, W. Bean and H. Anderson. Well, that’s about all we can learn from the newspaper about our old friends. The rest are probably living quietly in the city or elsewhere and wherever they are we hope they are happy. Now that we know about the future, let’s return to 1935. 31 COE'lNCIDENTS ....................................................................sfc— CLASS CHRONICLE Studdy Hall Hillside High June, 1935 Derc Si Reckon yad like ta here whut ive bin dewin fer the lass 4 yeres.
