INT? 55E -4 the annual 1971 hillsdale school 521500 red bank rd. t Cincinnati, ohio dedication1971 the class of 1971 dedicates this yearbook to a person who has been as much a friend as a teacher. we have shared many experiences tagether, in class and out, and have a thousand and one jokes and memories, to a person we have grown to love and respect, we dedicate this yearbook to a fellow graduate, jim hunt, known to s as jemmers, EBUCATKN it's just another day paul mccartney the life of a hillsdale girl . . . she goes to school and talks to friends, stud- ies hard for tests, and sighs in relief when they are over. she talks in the library, hides in the stacks, complains about the food, and goes to club meetings. but everyday along with the routineness of studies she is establishing life patterns. she learns to think for herself, to under- stand, to accept others. while watching a snowball fight or ink battle it is some- times hard to realize that these times are what people are made of. tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow creeps this petty pace. Shakespeare forty minutes a bell, nine bells a day, five days a week, four weeks a month, eight months a year, six yeals . . . it's a lot of time. $45, 600 minutesy where is it going, where has it gone? i'm late? i'm late? for a very important date. lewis carroll does anybody really know what time it is. Chicago it may have been just another day, but didn't something special, or personal, happen to you then? in your mind did you catch the special quality you found in each day that you lived? catch it if you can, for the time is constantly racing off and leaving you behind. but here you can hold onto time, pictures recall a memory, a time when, looking back through your mind it all seems to escape you: here a time is caught and held forever. all things must pass george harrison uncertainty roasted dough boys on a stick. don't worry mr. fiske, it's downhill all the 7:30 bike hike : 1:133: 531:: - V A'.'1.' ' . n ' r this year the theme for the a. a. was mickey mouse. this theme was carried out during the year through the various events the a, a. Sponsored. the first event the a. a. organized was the bike-hike to daniel drake park for a breakfast before school. the entire school was asked to participate and the results were very successful. the next two big activities, which concerned green- gold competition, were the gym meet and the track meet. it is very exciting to see how students advance on the equipment such as the balance beam, uneven bars, horse, and the trampoline used in the gym meet, as well as their natural skills such as running and throwing used in the track meet. along with spring came father-daughter day. this traditional day, where fathers come to hillsdale to compete against their daughters in a baseball game and then join together for dinner, was successful as always. award day ended the athletic season. various awards were given to those students with distinctive qualities, in between these large events were various games between schools in the city as well as games between the hillsdale students and the faculty. this year was a great success for the a. a. 52 WWW.
