'I3an2s mazck an? .swing with ,Duke Mr. Anthony Duke Campagna proved himself once more Hthe World's greatest band director during the 1959-60 Band Season. Through enthusiastic efforts, the Advanced Band traveled to Phoenix, Arizona, to display their talents to several audi- ences. This project, along with the Stanford Band Day and the annual Spring Concert, highlighted the year. Of great importance to the musicians was the Christmas Benefit Program for Ron Arrillaga. The Girls' Chorus and Intermediate Band displayed the results of their year's work at the Spring Concert. Swingin' strains of the Hillsdale Dance Band were heard at several interschool activities. Judging by this year's excellent work, Duke looks forward to an equally successful '60-'61 season. 93
