Class 'Histozq 0n September 10, 1956, we began our high school years as Freshmen This year was an active and exciting one for us as we were experiencing for the first time the work and fun of hi h h I lif g sc oo I e. We became acquainted with campus life at the Frosh-Soph Fun Nite. We sponsored a dance called Freshmen F I. ,, . . . . .. . . ro ic, and, In the spring, a fun nite. Our active participation in all school events, including the first Senior Bow Day at Hillsdale High, made this year a memorable one Our fall semester officers w r P t B I . e e e e ent ey, president, lvar Myer, vice president, Carol Richards, secretary, and Carol Hogan treasurer In the spring I we were ed by Carol Hogan, president, Judy Simon, vice president, Sue Hitchcock, secretary, and Tempe Robinson, treasurer. In our Sophomore year, our officers were Diane Crain, president, Pete Bentley, vice president, Carol Richards, secretary, and Duane Ewing, treasurer. Our first project was the traditional Frosh So h Fun Nit - p e. ln the spring we elected Sheldon Izsak, president, Don Vossler, vice president, Pat McHugh, secretary, and Bill Brigham, trea u . W b ' ' ' s rer e ecame the first class of Hillsdale to select and order our class rings as Sophomores. As upper classmen, our Junior year was an active one under the leadership of Neil Johnson, president, Don Vossler, vice president, Cynthia Moore, secretary, and Pat McHugh, treasurer. Don Vossler, Jim Ekedal, Betty Fletcher, and Eric Wenberg were selected as our spring officers After receiving our class r' . ings, we began at once a money-raising program to raise funds for our Junior Prom, by selling concessions at the Serra and C h' f ' apuc mo ootball games. On May 15, 1959, our Junior Prom, Moonglow, was presented. At the end of the year, we were ready for our new responsibilities as Seniors and leaders of Hillsdal H' h S h e lg c ool. The fall semester of 1959 began, and the Class of 1960 was busy planning our first activity of the S ' B year, enior ow Day. Everyone had a good time as the Freshmen bowed and scraped to the Seniors, saying: Hail, Mighty Senior. Kangaroo Court was held the following day and many a Fre h h d f ' , s man a ear in his heart. Our next activity was a dance called The Basket BaIl which was held following the Capuchino H'Il d I b ' I s a e asketball game on January 29, 1960. Our officers were John Amend, president, Brenda DeJean, vice president, Karen Schlotthauer secretary, and Betty Fletcher treasurer. The s rin , , p g semester was ushered in by officers Neil Johnson, president, Linda Bell, vice president, Carol Martin, secretary, and Sue B k ' an s, treasurer. Our Senior Ball took place at the Country Club on March ,11, 1960, with the theme, Bali Ha'i. Next, our attentions turned toward the Senior Luncheon on April 26 1960 Th , . en came the most memorable night of all our Hillsdale High School activities, Grad Night We received our diplomas in the San Mateo auditorium. After the graduation ceremonies and when the last strain of Pump and Circum t , s ance was over, we hurried to our all night party where we danced, played games, and talked until dawn when breakfast was d. 0 h' ' serve n t is night, we paused and remembered the wonderful years we had spent here. We felt sad at leaving Hillsdale, but as we looked toward the future we eagerly stepped forward to meet all that life might offer to each of us, confident that th k I ' ' e now edge we gained here and the friends we made, 1?
