The orchestra, which had members sent to the Northern California Honor Organization, played for the two term plays, They also went to the Music Festival Contest which was held at San Jose State, where they received honors. The choirs made the Spring Concert and Christmas Program memorable productions. The A Capella Choir went to the University of California for a Fall Choir Day and there they were guests at a football game. They sang for the San Mateo Women's Club at the Elks Club. They also went to the College of Pacific for a singing festival. The band that was seen marching on the football Held during halftimes also marched on Stanfords' field during a halftime for the Band Day. Our band was the only one in this district to get a superior marking when they traveled to the University of California where they participated in competition. Our Dance Band, which practiced on their own time, played for school dances as well as for community activities. We owe a great deal of thanks to the Music Department and the directors. They have represented us well in the community by their sensational performances in all fields of music.
