lfll'I'lQl' UIQ In 1918 the Turner Cup award was started by Ray A. Turner who had been an agriculture teacher here at HHS for eight years. Mr. Turner, who is now residing in Washington, D. C. , as Federal Representative 14' Club Leader, began the Turner Cup award to promote good citizenship and it has been carried on ever since. The Cup is an award given to a Senior student each year at graduation exercises to promote good scholarship. The student is selected by the High School faculty on the basis of his value to the school and its activities during four years of high school. Consideration is taken of the student's scholarship and citizenship as well. A certificate has been given as the symbol of honor since the cup could hold no more names.
