As she gazed into her crystal ball and mumbled strange things, I caught a few names that were familiar to me. General Sowles, a retired Army General, was one of the first one8. He and his cousin Johnny Swanson were returning from a trip to Darkest Africa. Swanson, you know, is the famous hunter and explorer. The name of Unruh caught my ear. You remember Don Unruh, don't you? It seems that he, at present is employed as a typing teacher at his old Alma Mater, Hillsdale. Another name the fortune-teller mentioned in connection with Hillsdale was Hanna Buller Cshe is now Mrs, John Smithll She is married to the local Minister and is the happy mother of 10 children! The fortune-teller peered intently into her crystal ball and muttered some more--was that name James she said? Could it possibly be th0 Jerrald James who is the Cowboy Movie Idol of the world--My, I must write for his autograph. Hoeltzel or something that sounded like it was next on the crystal ball. He is currently selling peanuts, popcorn, and cotton candy at the basketball staduim in Big Four! Lee Ingrham is a big engineer driving spikes on the section gang out.1n the middle of the Sahara Desert. Marian Childers ls an old maid school teacher at Hillsdale, she is teaching her favorite subject Sociology. At this point the crystal ball suddenly clouded over, so I crossed the 1ady's palm with silver and stole silently away into the night I was glad to know what had happened to the Glorious Class of. 195?. More desks had to be moved in to accomodate the twenty-seven pupils. The fifth grade had two new faces in their seventeen members. They were Gary Heinrich and Sharon Wofford. The sixth grade numbered ten with Beverly Pearson ES their new member. This has been a lively and industrious group, so much work has been done. History and Geography have been especially interesting through the use of fill in maps and booklets. The arithmetic clothes line has hung neat, good grade papers all year. The work for Open House was gathered all through the school term. The programs given were at Christmas and the February Assembly. Ken Bolenbaugh and Billy Roy Kirton participated in all the Band Activities. Class parties, basketball, baseball and games kept the playtime full and exciting. It has been a good year of learning and living to gether as a big happy, school family.
