A SERVICE FOR TO OR- ROW The Kiwanette service club started the 1980-81 school year in the spooky spirit. After inducting new members, the club made candy ghosts for the teachers on Halloween. Visiting a children's home for Christmas, to bring cheer to the kids, was also on the list of services performed for the school and community. This year the club strived for unity and success and with the help of their sponsor, Ms. Morrill, they made it a goal that was reached. M. Tejara signs up for school services. I. Vargo enjoys her very first meeting. L. Brinson listens tentatively to ideas. KIWAMFITES 0 19

PL YING THE ROLE OF TOGETHERNESS The girls started the year off with a few disappointing situations, but as time went on, they showed Hillsborough High school just what the Opti-Miss Raiders were really all about. First off, they found themselves a new sponsor, Linda Montz, whom proved to be a very enthusiastic helper. Second, they sold the traditional beat ribbons to the student body throughout the football season. Yes, these girls had a lot to do, and they proved it to be a task well accom- plished. Through togetherness, they worked up the continuous number one spirit of the Opti-Miss Raiders. ' li I. Harris keeps notes on all meetings. 18 OPTI MISS Bottom row, I to r: 1. Ellington, T. For this year the Anchors have not been anchored down! They've been through the roughest waters but kept on sailing through it all. Kristy Read tPres.i navigated the Anchors through many worthwhile pro- jects such as presenting food baskets to the needy families during Thanksgiving, and visiting Faith Children's Home for Christmas. These and other gifts of love were distributed throughout the commu- nity this year with the help of Anchors. 1--, fi' Oliphant. Anchors: Bottom Rowlto r: R. Galvez, B. McKinnon, First Row: T.
