We tried so hard to gain knowledge in order to live a more useful life and become better citizens. Math, English, history, sci- ence . . . shop, homemaking . . . typing, bookkeeping . . . art, music. The going was tough at times, but the satis- faction was great when we had met and mastered these subjects that make up high school learning. There were numerous clubs at Hillsborough representing a wide var- iety oi interests. Most of us belonged to at least one organization during our three years at Hillsborough. Some ot us worked. The extra money was olways welcome, especially during our senior year, with the additional ex- pense of rings, pictures, announcement cards, and caps and gowns.
