MIRIAM DULANEY Dean of Girls Regist,-,W MISS JANE DOXVDELL, dean of girls, has become one of the most indispensable members of the administration. Her understanding, helpful attitude has been a guiding light to the many who have gone to her for advice and assistance. A good sense of humor is a wonderful asset no matter what the situation might be, and Miss DoWdell,s Wit will long be remembered by the many students she has guided through Hillsborough. Both the students and the faculty have come to admire her friendliness and leadership. out or why you graduate with the right number of credits? Then meet the person responsible, MRS. MIRIAM DU- LANEY, registrar. In her little cubby hole in the main office, Mrs. Dulaney keeps track of not only Hillsborough's students, but new students also. All transcripts of the records of students both present and past needed by colleges, the Federal Government, and businesses are her responsi- bility. In addition Mrs. Dulaney teaches two classes in World history. Wfant to see Mr. Gaither, need an absentee admit, or want to read a bulletin? Then head for the office. Behind the scenes of Hills- borough's smooth-running offices are the secretaries who, although they are not well known by students, are Vital to all Hills- borough. They are also responsible for the student office assistants. In charge of the main office are MRS. LORENE DAVIS and MRS. LOUISE LUCAS. They are responsible for keeping the records straight, handling visitors, filing mail, and answering correspondence. The attendance and the citizenship of all students are the duties of MRS. DOROTHY ELLIOTT, secretary of the dean's office. MRS. PAT STOKES, Mr. Hamilton's sec- retary, publishes the daily bulletin in addi- tion to her other duties. Mimeographing tests and study guides are just one of the many tasks that MRS. DAVID GILCHRIST handles for the Eng- lish department. MRS.
