F'-5 Philosophy Under the sponsorship of Prof. Alex Bell, the Plant City Philosophy Club promoted a series of lectures: Prof. Sue Winston discussed Capital- ism, Dr. Carlton Lane and Prof. Bell The Nature of Reality, and Dr. Edwin Franco Aristo- tle. Robbie Goad is the club president, Linda Rowell, vice- presidentg and Kathy Mon- tagino, secretary. 131 In between lectures and soul- searching debates club members sponsored a coffee. Linda Rowell, Gwen Mahoney, Margaret Kimball, and Keith Cribbs relax at the club coffee in Ianuary. Media Club The Media Club of Plant City Campus had as its objective to teach as many students as were interested the art of good photography, developing and printing. Interested students met with Doug Butler and were challenged with intriguing photography assignments. The biggest problem they encoun- tered was keeping up with the Vivitar flash which occasionally ended up at Ybor. 111 Starting out as the Negative Proof Club in September were members Linda Rowell, Carol Pricher, Conrad Varnum, Russell Flott, Patti Yarbrough, and Hal Mooney working with Audio-Visual Technician Doug Butler. However, by mid-year the club members decided to change the name of the club to Media Club. 121 The Media Club had fun learning how to operate the equipment. 26 Nuclear Med!Opticianry 1 Nuclear Medicine The Nuclear Medicine Club is sponsored by advisers Huey Barnett and Dr. Mac Lombardi. The students won first place in statewide competition. 111 Nuclear Medicine Club mem- bers include lfront rowl Sue Bates, Tony Ward lsecond rowj Marcella Gibson, Tina Russell, Gracia Gar- rids, Lee Ann Zavosky, Stephanie Spear lthird rowl Rhonda Bailey, Dianna Van Valkenburg, Cathy Wiehle, Maria Szorger lfourth rowl Iames Smith, Caesar Fernandez, Marie Driggers, Kim Hippo, Dave Wadsworth lfifth rowj Tom Fox, Ray Madison, Art Raguse, Tony Menendez, and Sue Hughlett. Opticianry Club The Association of Professional Scholastic Opticians IAPSOJ sponsored two students' trip to the National Opticianry conven- tion in Chicago. Their main money-raising project was sell- ing initials or zodiac signs that go on eyeglasses for S1 each. In addition the club had 1200 eyeglass frames donated. 131 Craig Ross served as president of the Association of Professional Scholastic Opticians and attended the national conference in Chicago. Under his leadership the APSO club was one of the strongest clubs at the Gordon Keller campus. Other officers include Belinda Motzer, secretary, Elaine Vernon, vice- presidentg Matthew Vernon, treasurer, and Ed Wood, sergeant- at-arms. gin 2' . , 1 -
