She was an the lunuor and senior class plays, and served as librarian her sophomore, iumor and senior years. Sonia was class secretary- treasurer in her sophomore year, chorus treasurer and band vice-president in her senior year. She served on the paper staff in her senior year and on the annual staff in her junior and senior years. The big event of the year was the Junuor Senior Prom which we spon sored. The theme was Serenade In Blue. Senior Class We have now reached the last lap of our travels with 34 members. We elected Doug Falconer, president, Eleanor Foss, vice-president, Myrna Nelson, secretary, and Eileen Henning, treas urer. Mr. Rhodes is our class advisor. Student Council representatives are Mary Ann Hovet, Jack l'lalver son, Dick Breen, and Jon Brakke. The letterman s club elected Marlene Muir as homecoming queen of 55. We presented our clcss play, Tomboy, in November under the excellent direction of Mrs. Oscar Johnson. We also published the school paper, The School Daze. The co-editors are Janice Wiger and Georgia Kaldor. And now we begin our longest iourney on whch we shall put to use the things we have learned. Our Student Council members are Lawrence Grant, Lowell Thompson, Margaret Dullum, and Marlene Bjerke who replaced Janet Iverson. Our homecoming attendant was LaVonne Peterson. Lhder the able direction of Mrs. Frank Brasel, we presented three one-act plays. Running out of the split T , the team remained undefeated until the final game of the season. One of the highlights of the season saw the Burrors score two touchdowns in the last three minutes of the larimore game to turn an almost certain defeat into a victory. Gale Boeddek won the conference scoring race. Hillsboro had the most feated passing attack in the R. R.V. conference, featuring the good right arm of .lack Halverson, and the pass-grabbing of fellows like Breen, Boeddeker, Wentworth, Grant, and Gunderson. The season record was 6 I.
