i 6-Homecoming 5 .5 2 5 lirom left to right Barbara lforster, Agatha Kumi. lngrid Solee. A snalte dance wound its way toward the football field on the night of October 30, 1947. This was the beginning of the first Homecoming since 19-11. After all had arrived a bonfire was lighted and Co-captain john Hovland crowned Agatha Kuntz Queen of the 1947 Homecoming. Her attendants were Barbara Forster, junior, and Ingrid Solee, sopl'omore. Following this, I1 pep rally was held and lunch was served. The next afternoon bitter rivalry resumed as the Mayville Lions met the Hills- boro Burrcs in cold drizzling weather. Defeat came after a hard fought battle with .1 secre of 13-6. That evening a dance was held at the Armory. Alumni from as far back as 1919 wefe prefent. Music was provided by Paul Hmson's Orchestra.
