WILMA MOLLERSTROM ANTON GUNDERSON You who know Wilma and Anton can easily see why they were chosen as the most active boy and girl in this high school. When ever there is any activity, there they are. Wilma has been in chorus and glee club all four years, and also triple trio awhen she was a Sophomore. She has had a part in each of the class plays plus being president of the class during her Junior year. Even with all these activities she has studied so that her scholastic average has placed her third among her classmates. She is now presiding over the newly formed Student Council. In order that she might have this honor, some- one had to organize the Council. This was done by a committee of which Anton is co-chairman. He is also president of the class this year. During the football season he was co-captain of the mighty Burros. The Lettermen's Club was helped along by Anton who is very eapably filling his job as Sergeant-at-Arms. He is also rated very high scholastically. These are only a few of their extra-curricular pursuits, as they are too numerous to list them all.

MARY BALKAN -hex Hov1AN1m 'We can easily understand how Mary Balkan and Jack Hovlnnd were chosen as the ones most likely to succeed. Mary's cheerfulness makes her presence always pleasant. She'll get far ahead in tltis world of ours because when she has a point she always sticks to it and argues it out. Her quality of leadership is one of her greatest assets. She believes in having fun as well as having her work prepared. One of Jack's best qualities is his calmness in whatever happensg he always remains cool and collected. He is dependable and honest, sincere and truthful. Jack has par- ticipated in many extra-curricular activities throughout his four years here in Hills- boro High School. His friendly nature makes him liked by all.

KAY KELLY LYLE PEDFRSON The girl chosen as the outstanding musician of Hillsboro High School is Kay Kelly. She not only plays the flute excellently, but also plays the piano and sings. Kay has been active in music in every possible way, having been a member of glee club, chorus, band and pep band all four years of high school. This year she directed the pep band and is assistant director of the band. She also participated in the orch- estra, triple trio. and trio. Kay is very interested in music and plans to go on in that field. Accredited with making the largest percentage of free throws is our outstanding athlete, Lyle Pederson. For this he was awarded a gold basketball. Having had three years of experience Lyle was elected co-captain of the basketball team in his Senior year. He had two years of football experience and made the second most points in the basketball season. During the tournament he was selected as a member of the first all district team.
