Music Because music knows no barrier ot language, because it recognizes no impedi- rrents to tree communication, because it speaks a universal tongue, music can make us all more vividly aware ot that common humanity which is ours and which shall one day unite natons ot the world in one great brotherhood,-Frankiln Delano Roosevelt. Today, when our lives are somewhat accelerated to meet the conditions of the tfme, every person still teels the need at sometime to return his thoughts to music so that he may once again return to his humdrum lite with more spirit and vigor. We of l-lillsboro'l-ligh School hope that through our music groups, under the direction ot Mr Euren, we have given every person in this community a small part ot the joy that we have received ourselves in presenting it to them, Where there is music there is contentment and harmony, That is the stepping stone tor peace in the world. Professor Bhaer iiieralcl Mullerl and ,lo March lEileen Beltzl were on stage. Professor Bhaer wanted Jo to buy a shawl for an old woman and when he reached for his billfold the most startled expression came to his face. l-le excused himself, left the stage, and came rushing back to the rest of the boys in the cast, saying in an excited voice, I forgot my billfold, give me some money! Meanwhile Jo, not know- ing what to do, was pacing back and forth, pretending to cry. Professor Bhaer then came on the stage and said to Jo, lt seems that to my absent mindedness l forgot my wallet, l-le handed her the money and all went smoothly.
