Banking Zfrward How do you do? My name is Mr. Magoo. My wife and I decided to take a trip around the world in this year of 1981. First of all we took Rover to the city dog pound and whom did we see but Randy Ludlow. Randy, it seems, is a first class flea-picker there. Our first stop was at the Indianapolis Speedway where they were then having the greatest atomic car race in the world. As we walked through the pit area, my wife thought she recognized one of the old Hillsboro students. Sure enough, there stood Jack French, whom we found to be one of the drivers. After talking with Jack for a while, we learned that he was very disappointed because he had been coming in last. Then we discovered the reason, Sue Webster was his chief mechanic. Our next stop was in Washington, D. C., where we visited Archie Nine, who is now the President of the United States, and Carolynn Stewart, his Secretary of Treasury. From Washington we drove to the U. S. Naval Station is Maine to visit ENSIGN Jan Hesser. When we made an inquiry about him, we learned that he was down on the ocean floor swabbing the decks of the latest U.'S. Atomic Submarine. Since J an was busy we decided to travel on to Miami Beach, Florida, where we understood Vernon Gooding was employed. When we arrived there, sure enough, there was Vernon selling Indiana oranges in Florida. After buying some of Vernon's oranges, we traveled on to tour Asia and Europe. After staying in Pakistan for a few days we learned that Walter Benefield was in town, so we decided to visit him. Walter, who always did want to be an engineer, was there on the job, digging oil wells with his latest invention, his Super-Duper-Shovel-Scooper. Our next stop was merry old England where we visited the newest and most ultramodern city in the world, which, incidently, is consuucted purely of steel and glass. Here we found Gerald Norman, who is having a bit of trouble in his newest profession. He is a termite inspector in an all steel city. We left England by plane and flew over the North Pole to Alaska to visit another of the old Hillsboro students. He is Mike Funk, who is a refrigerator salesman in the Eskimo region. Believe it or not, he 's doing very well. Mike always was a great talker. We flew directly from Alaska to Denver, Colorado, where multi-millionaire Robert Head was living We learned that Robert was living on a mountain top in his million dollar home with his twenty wives. Robert always did like girls. After talking with Robert for a while, he told us that he had been having trouble with the local Indian tribe, The Dirty Foot Indians. According to Robert their chief wigwam maker had invented a new weapon known as the flying wigwam. What really surprised us was that this chief wigwam maker was a former student'of Hillsboro High, Carolyn Bever. Well Mrs. MaGoo and I finally reached home safely. We still laugh about some of the occupations of the old class of '6l. Don't you? Mr . MaGoo
